Behavior: These snakes are ambush predators, often staying motionless for hours, blending into mossy rocks and leaves. During rain, their vibrant colors become more pronounced—perfect for capturing detail in still shots.

Macro Opportunity: Close-ups of their heat-sensing pits, scales, and vertical pupils.

Macro Opportunity: Eye reflections, head tilts, and active hunting postures.

Behavior: Mimic ants both in movement and appearance to avoid predators. They wave their front legs like antennae!

Macro Opportunity: Capture mimicry behavior alongside real ants for a visual comparison.

Behavior: These frogs use webbed feet to glide between trees during the monsoon. Males vocalize near water bodies to attract mates.

Macro Opportunity: Webbed toes, foam nests, and calling postures.

Behavior: Extremely fast movers, known for aggressive predatory behavior on trails. They often freeze when approached.

Macro Opportunity: Shiny exoskeletons, large mandibles, and reflections in compound eyes.

Behavior: Buzz pollination—shaking flowers to release pollen. They often hover mid-air before landing.

Macro Opportunity: Pollen-covered faces, wing motion blur, and flower interactions.

Behavior: Excellent mimics of leaves. Many display sound-based communication and can be heard “singing” at night.

Macro Opportunity: Leaf mimicry details, antennae movement, and camouflage.

Go out early morning or post-rain for best lighting and activity.

Use diffused lighting to avoid harsh reflections.

Look on the undersides of leaves, forest floor, and tree trunks.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced photographers looking to improve their wildlife photography skills in a real-world environment.
